The weird thing about 2025? Memorizing is rarely useful now.

Sure, Google and Stackoverflow made memorization less useful many years ago. But AI magnifies this effect.

I don’t memorize Tailwind class names. I tell an LLM “Vertically center the text and make it white”.

I don’t memorize CLI flags. I tell an LLM “List the image files in this directory that are over 1MB and sort them by size”.

Now what’s important is knowing what to ask, and how to ask.
