Here's the difference between amateurs and pros:
My friend is a wood worker. He noticed multiple problems with my cabinets.
🚫 Cheap hinges
🚫 Low quality wood
🚫 Poorly applied stain
My reply? “Seems fine.”
If he looked at my software, he’d say “seems fine.” too.
The point: A pro rarely looks at someone’s work and says “Looks good”.
A pro sees the tradeoffs, mistakes, and compromises.
Related: This is why I worry when I see developers who say “looks good to me” on every PR.
Are there really no concerns?
No tradeoffs?
No mistakes?
No opportunities?
No corners cut?
An amateur may not see these issues.
A professional can’t help but see them.
