Job satisfaction is driven by 5 factors:

1. Significance: The work is meaningful and impactful

2. Task identity: A feeling of ownership in the work

3. Autonomy: Freedom to make choices

4. Variety: Not monotonous

5. Feedback: Can safely & easily get feedback to improve
When I think back on jobs I disliked, one or more of these things were missing.

This is why I enjoy coding. For me, writing software consistently checks all 5 of these!
