Years ago I read “The Non-Designer’s Design Book”. It was an excellent time investment.
I learned the fundamentals:
Color 🖍
Spacing 👽
Typography 🔠
Proximity 👬
Alignment ⁑
I’ve found if I get these fundamentals right, things tend to look pretty good.
