The devs that didn't work out:
🚩Claimed to understand when they clearly didn't
🚩Often said "I'll be done today", then wasn't
🚩Made big, unfocused pull requests
🚩Kept repeating the same mistakes
🚩Rarely asked for feedback or help
A few more red flags:
🚩 Tried to pick up more tasks rather than finishing their current tasks
🚩 Commented out unused sections of code rather than deleting
🚩 Often opened obviously incomplete pull requests with broken builds, missing tests, or multiple warnings
