One of the most persistent rules of software:

Adding more people to a late project makes it later.

Why? Because adding people adds overhead:
-Stop work to onboard new people
-Get the app running on their machine
-Teach them the app
-Teach the team dev flow
-Debug their issues
The seminal book on this topic: "The Mythical Man Month".

And here's some irony: I'm writing this tweet while working with a team of people who are struggling to get their app running on my machine...so I can help them hit a deadline.
