I believe the world would be better if TVs weren't in public spaces like restaurants, stores, airports, and gyms. TVs create needless noise and distraction. TVs stifle conversation and clear thinking.
Sports bar? Sure. TVs are key. But otherwise, I avoid public TVs.
We all agree: Watching video on a smartphone without headphones is rude.
So why do airports, hotels, mechanics, etc think it's a good idea to put on audible 24 hour news? 🤦♂️
