An option to consider: Stuck

An option to consider:

Stuck? Leave early and finish later.

In my old job, I often felt pressure to keep trying until the end of the day, even when stuck.

Looking back, I'd have been better off to:
1. Quit early
2. Enjoy some leisure
3. Finish later with a clear perspective
This is especially clear now that I'm independent. When I'm feeling stuck, drowsy, frustrated, I step away. I go enjoy something unrelated.

When I come back, I typically solve the problem that seemed insurmountable in minutes. It's like my subconscious solved it during play.
This is one of the reasons I'm a big fan of remote work. Truly restorative breaks are more practical. And I typically have more freedom to structure my day in a way that coincides with my energy, focus, and flow.
