Two reasons I ❤️ modern UI dev:
1. Rapid visual feedback. Hit save, and see the result. Instantly.🔥
2. High autonomy. I don’t worry about my environment being down. It’s all local. 😎 I can code anywhere. No internet required.
In contrast, DevOps interests me. But I avoid it.
It typically has a slow feedback loop and low control.
Change is risky = approvals required.
I’m effected by cloud issues I can’t control.
The environment may go down at any time. And when it does, it’s my problem.
To be clear, both are great specialties. I’m just realizing why my priorities led me to specialize in UI dev.
Life is full of problems. So happiness is about finding problems you enjoy solving. 🤓
