Now that I'm independent, I feel liberated
Now that I'm independent, I feel liberated. Why? Because I finally conquered my fear.
Fear of failure.
Fear of freedom.
Fear of being my own boss.
Fear of not being good enough.
So l won't regret this adventure, regardless of outcome. I'm pursuing my dreams instead of hiding.
Most significant improvements in my life have revolved around conquering fear.
7 years ago I was terrified of public speaking. So I chased my fear. I spoke at a user group and actually enjoyed it! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Speaking gave me confidence, because it showed me I could grow.
Speaking was my core fear. And today it's *literally my job*.
I've presented literally 100's of sessions: https://www.bitnative.com/presentations/.
Today, I love teaching and selling ideas to a crowd. My greatest weakness became my strength.
This reality still blows my mind.
The takeaway: Sure, you know your fears. But you have no idea how much bigger and brighter the world can become when you choose to conquer your fear. Call it out.
"I'm scared of x, so I'm going to y". Chase it.
