When I started coding my apps slowly became a house of cards
When I started coding my apps slowly became a house of cards. I couldn’t fully understand my own code. Too much complexity had to be loaded in my head at once.
Over time I’ve learned to break apps down into little autonomous pieces I can think about and work with in isolation.
This is also why I was instantly excited about React. React makes it so easy to create autonomous, encapsulated components that manage their own state. Its very design pushes you in the direction of creating little reusable lego blocks you can think about in isolation.
